NMEA tuning
Got the new navigation instruments for pilot boat from Tacktick. Being an technology freak I had to try feeding the instruments some NMEA data with BasicStamp programmable IC. After few hours of messing with NMEA checksums the beast seem to work and instruments displayed 5 knots of speed on my desktop :-)The idea is to use NMEA output to record sailing and motoring conditions on pilot project. Next thing I need to find is a small computer that will handle marine conditions. Pointers appreciated!
